Webster- Shirley Florene Montz was born October 5, 1929 in Sigourney, Iowa, the daughter of George & Viola (Back) Killian. She graduated from Keswick High School in 1947. On July 2, 1950 Shirley was united in marriage to Robert Morgan Montz at the Keswick United Methodist Church. They were life long residents of the Webster community. Shirley was a member of the Webster United Methodist Church and the UMW. She enjoyed playing cards, singing, crafting, embroidery work with her sister and most of all caring for and spending time with her family. Shirley died on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the English Valley Care Center in North English at the age of 89 years.

She is survived by three sons and their wives Avery & Carol Montz of Webster, Iowa, Neil & Debbie Montz of Corydon, Iowa and Kim & Kimberly Montz of Webster, New York; seven grandchildren Noel (Lisa) Montz, Craig (Tina) Montz, Ryan Montz, Caleb (Victoria) Montz, Nathan Montz, Rachel (Jon) Verville and Cyan (Brandon) Miller; and seven great grandchildren Aiden, Conner, Lason, James, Rosalie & Morgan Montz and Braden Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, a brother Wade Killian and a sister Beverly Chambers.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Webster United Methodist Church in Webster. Rev. Vince Homan & Rev. Charles Klink will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time at the church. Memorials are for the Webster United Methodist Church and the English Valley Citizens Scholarship Fund.
