North English Record, November 8, 1945 – obituary - T.M. Clevenger, Retired Educator, Dies in California
Local relatives received word Monday of the death of Tally M. Clevenger at Santa Monica, California Sunday morning. He was a former North English resident. Services and burial at Santa Monica.
Mr. Clevenger, a retired Iowa educator, formerly was superintendent of schools in Anamosa, Brooklyn, and Waverly. A graduate of the University of Iowa and Iowa State College, he served as president of the Iowa High School Teachers Association and as a member of the board of control of the high school Athletic association.
His wife survives, she is the former Sadie Mahannah of North English. A number of his relatives live here.
