MRS. ABBIE MAHANNAH
Funeral services for Mrs. Abbie Mahannah of Butte, Neb. Were held at the Butte Community Bible Church on Saturday, Nov. 11, 1978.
Rev. Keith Moody had charge of the services. Burial was in Butte Cemetery with Homes-Thenhaus Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Casket bearers were Gary Sedlacek, Jim Hansen, Chet Hammerlun, Art Lindgren , Bill Hansen and Larry Woodruff.
Abbie Ann Gregory was born July 1, l887 at North English, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. John Lawrence Gregory and died in the Niobrara Valley Hospital in Lynch, Neb. On Nov. 9, 1978,, at the age of 91 years.
She was united in marriage to Willis Willard Mahannah on March 24, 1909 and to this union four children were born, 2 sons and 2 daughters.
She was a devoted Charter Member of the Butte Community Bible Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She attended Sunday School and church faithfully as long as her health permitted.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was happiest when her family was near. She spent the last two years in the Butte Nursing Home.
She leaves to mourn her passing one son, Mack and wife Esther of Butte; daughters, Mrs. June Lewis of Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. Dorothy Whitehall and husband, Dick of Entiat, Wash.; seven grandsons, thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maye Bair of Iowa City; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970, infant son, her parents, one sister, and one brother.
