RODNEY MAHANNAH
Memorial services for Rodney Mahannah, 41, North English, were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Powell Funeral Home, North English. He died Monday, Sept 16, 1991, at the business he owned and operated, Rod’s North English Body Shop.
The Rev. Sherry Schwab officiated at the service. Music was provided by organist Edna Gilmore and the congregation.
The body was cremated and the ashes buried in the North English Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Schmidt, Kent Leonard, Brent Coffman, Kenneth Faas, John Bourque, Terry Vkan Dee and Regis Witte.
Rodney Lee Mahannah was born June 10, 1950, in Sigourney, the son of C.W. “Bill” and Gilma Carder Mahannah. He graduated from English Valley High School in 1969, and (attended) the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, one year.
He was a member of the A.B.A.T.E. (A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments)of Iowa, District 14, and the North English Christian Church.
Survivors include his parents, Mill and Gilma Mahannah, North English; one brother Ronald, Dubuque, and his grandmother, Lorene Graham, North English.
