A. B. Mahannah Dies at Cedar Rapids Home
Aurelius Benton Mahannah died at his home, 509 Fifth avenue SE, Cedar Rapids, at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday after a short illness. He was born May 4, 1858, in North English where he lived until 27 years ago when he moved to Cedar Rapids.
At North English he was married May 15, 1879, to Mary Elizabeth Evans who preceded him in death Sept. 19, 1921. He was a member of the First Christian church and the Knights of Pythias of North English.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Zimmerman, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Allie Graham of Kinross; two sons, Starr Mahannah, Chicago; Arthur Mahannah, Cedar Rapids;a half-brother , Frank Mahannah, Cedar Falls; six grandchildren and a great granddaughter, Patsy Graham of Oskaloosa.
Funeral services were held in the Beatty chapel at Cedar Rapids.
