Celebration of life service for Lois A. Randolph, 95, Williamsburg, was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 13, at St. John Lutheran Church near Homestead. She died Friday, March 10, 2017, at Marengo Memorial Hospital, Marengo.

The Rev. Gary Sears officiated at the service.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Lutheran Interparish School.

Lois Ann Schaefer Randolph was born Feb. 28, 1922, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Arthur George William and Anna Alice (Krahling) Rinderknecht. She was baptized March 17, 1922, and confirmed June 20, 1937. She attended Bethany College in Mankato, Minn. She taught school at St. John’s Parochial School near Homestead for a few years before marriage.

She married Hilbert Christian Schaefer June 14, 1946, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Atkins. They were blessed with three children. He died Nov. 17, 1983.

She married Franklin William Randolph Nov. 24, 1984. He died in 2004. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing solitaire and spending time with her family and friends. She was active in the Republican Party and St. John’s Ladies Aid. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church near Homestead.

She is survived by a son, William (Robyn) Schaefer, Conroy; two daughters, Bethann (Stan) Teggatz, Cedar Rapids, and Mary (Douglas) Fast, Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Nina Day, San Jose, Calif.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald and Arthur Rinderknecht.
