LADORA-Kitty Sue (Newman) Wagner of Ladora, Iowa, passed away on December 3, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident that happened on November 10, 2016.

Kitty was born July 11, 1953, in Cambridge, Nebraska, to Thomas and Minnie (Bailey) Newman.

She met Vincent Eugene (Gene) Wagner on June 23, 1992 and they wed in 1993. After their marriage they settled on a family farm east of Millersburg. They had one son, Christopher Eugene Wagner.

Kitty enjoyed camping, fishing, canning, shooting firearms with her family and attending antique tractor and car shows. She loved any time spent with family and friends. She was well-known for her outgoing and upbeat personality. Kitty worked at Wal-Mart in Grinnell.

Survivors include her husband and son of Ladora; five sisters: Sandra Hansen of Evansdale, Brenda Newman of Evansdale, Eulalia (Dale) Averhoff of Evansdale, Toni (Michael) Hay of Piper City, Illinois and Tina (Jeff) Rakowski of Grand Falls, North Dakota; four brothers: Timothy (Sue) Newman of Elk Run Heights, Alex (Charlene) Newman of Evansdale, Thomas Newman of Evansdale and Terry (Connie) Newman of Allison; uncles: Robert Shonk of Doniphan, Missouri and Ronald Bailey of Monticello; aunt: Donna Bailey of Evansdale; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother: Dennis Karr.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg, with Pastor Edwin Jordan officiating. Burial will be at Armah Cemetery in rural North English. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at the funeral home.
