Celebration of life service for Beverly J. Munnik, 72, Marion, formerly of Williamsburg and Sheffield, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids. She died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at home with family at her side.

All memorials directed to the family will be contributed to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. until service time..

Beverly J. Munnik was born Nov. 29, 1944, the daughter of Everett and Betty Lilley Engebretson in Hampton. She grew up in Sheffield, Iowa and graduated with the class of 1963.

She married Bastian (JR) Munnik on Feb. 12, 1965 in Sheffield.

She worked many years at Iowa Eye Associates in Williamsburg and as a receptionist and bank teller after moving to Cedar Rapids. Her proudest and most accomplished job was taking care of her family. She and Bastian were long time members of St. Paul's UMC in Williamsburg and Lovely Lane UMC in Cedar Rapids.

She enjoyed gardening and camping, and often volunteered at her church. She will be missed for her contagious smile and her caring and thoughtfulness of others.

Munnik is lovingly remembered by her mother, Betty Engebretson, Sheffield; daughter, Carrie (Rodney) Shifflett, Marion; son, Todd (Susan) Munnik, Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Ryan, Tayler and Olivia Shifflett, Lillian and Mason Munnik; sisters, Christina (Alan) Duea, Clear Lake; Emily (Duane) Kruckenberg, Iowa Falls; Bertha (Jim) Heilskov, Hampton; LuAnn (Bob) Sharp, Davenport; brother, Martin Engebretson, Sheffield, and two great grandchildren.
