Gregory W. Kahler “Egg Head” “Poppa G,” 59, Mesa, Ariz., died Monday Nov. 7, 2016, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. A celebration of life service will be held at the home of Doug and LaVonne Kahler, 900 19th Ave., Coralville, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20.

Contributions in his name may be made to his gofundme account to help his wife after this unexpected loss.

Greg Wayne Kahler was born March, 3 1957, in Marengo, the son of Wayne and Dorothy [Wardenburg] Kahler. He married Laura (Mynhier) Kahler on July 13, 1984. He last worked as a maintenance technician at Zero Mass Water, Tempe. He loved riding his Harley and playing with his grandkids. He had a heart of gold and was always there to give you a good laugh.

Kahler is survived by his wife; one daughter, Megan (Curtis) Roth, Bloomsdale, Mo.; two sons, Miles Kahler, Mesa, Ariz., and Andrew (Calah) Kahler, Mesa; his parents; brothers and sisters, Douglas (LaVonne) Kahler, Coralville; Terri (Mark) Taylor, Waterloo; Brenda Enlow, Iowa City; Randy Kahler, Coralville; Ronda Kahler, North Liberty; Scott Kahler, Iowa City; wonderful sister and brothers-in-law, Jeff Mynhier, Sturgis, Mich.; Lisa and Dusty Bennet, Sturgis, Mich., and their kids; and four grandchildren, Jaden and Lane Roth, Lily and Ellie Kahler.

He is preceded in death by his mother- and father-in-law, Robert and Phyllis Mynhier, and two sisters-in-law, Bea Kahler and Ginger Kahler, both of Iowa.
