Danielle M. Graves, 18, of Omaha, NE, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, IA, of toxic shock syndrome.

Danielle Marie Niner Graves was born August 19, 1987, at Bluefield, West Virginia, the daughter of Gary Lee Graves and Mary Marie Niner Graves. She received her education at Westside High School and was currently attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha, NE. She was employed by the Omaha Zoo where she worked in the gift shop. She just had been accepted to be a Mary Kay representative. Danielle lived the last 11 years in Omaha coming from Chicago, IL.

Surviving are her parents, Gary and Mary Graves of Auburn Hills, Michigan; her grandparents, Betty and Leo Niner of Haverhill, IA, and Vern Graves of Des Moines, IA; and a great grandfather, Clarence Rhinehart of Brooklyn, IA, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a brother Andrew and her grandmothers.

Funeral Services were held at 1:30 PM Saturday, November 26, 2005, at the Grace United Methodist Church, Brooklyn, IA. Syndi Osborne, associate pastor, officiated and the musician was Angie Radcliffe. Casket-bearers were Kevin Maas, Travis Maas, Bill Niner, Alex Niner, Randy Rhinehart and Kyle Rhinehart. Honorary casket-bearers were Stephanie Shea, Patrick Caniglia, Pamela Maas, Kayla Niner, McKenzie Niner, Morgan Niner and Nolan Miner. Interment was in Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for research for toxic shock syndrome.
Nevenhoven Funeral Services, Brooklyn, IA, was in charge of arrangements.
