Ruth (West) Worrall, age 89, of Green Forest, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016, at home.

Ruth was born August 22, 1927, in Parnell, Iowa, and was the daughter of Thelma (King) Claypool and North West. She was joined in marriage August 22, 1945, to James “Jim” Butler Worrall. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Ruth was a talented artist and painter, performing many crafts, including woodworking, carving and sign painting. A hard worker, she dedicated herself to farming for 34 years and was a wonderful cook. Closest to Ruth’s heart was her deep, abiding love for family as a wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Clifford Claypool; a son, Ronald James Worrall, and two sisters, Pauline Huedepohl and Ethel Renner.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Jim Worrall; a daughter, Pam Robison and husband Jack of Mendota, Illinois; a son, Jeff Worrall and wife Rhonda of Green Forest, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Dionne Harr, Sydney and husband Adam Woehler, Krystal and husband Bradley Parton; one grandson, Kristopher and wife Kayla Worrall; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Jim Claypool and wife Charlene of Berryville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Ruth Worrall will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September, 3, 2016, at the Green Forest Cowboy Church. Burial will be at a later date in Iowa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Green Forest Cowboy Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 883, Green Forest, AR 72638.
