Donna Mae Henning, age 81, of Hartwick, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brooklyn, with Father Corey Close officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn. A memorial fund has been established.

Donna is survived by her two children Linda (Leslie) Ollinger of Grinnell and Donald (Beth) Henning of Chelsea; five grandchildren Issac (Alanna) Olllinger, Kathleen (Heston) Ollinger Clark, Nathanael (Stephanie) Ackerman, Jennette (Jaremy) Douglas and Edmond Henning; seven great grandchildren Estella Ollinger, Amelia Ollinger, Naomi Clark, Philip Ackerman, Jacob Ackerman, Izabella Douglas and Jaxson Douglas; a brother Wallace DePauw; and a sister-in-law Mary DePauw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert; a granddaughter Erin Ollinger; a great-granddaughter Faith Douglas; and three brothers Charles, Raymond and Marvin DePauw.

Donna Mae DePauw was born December 19, 1934 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Edmond and Blanche Hendricks DePauw. After receiving her education, she married Robert Henning on January 12, 1955 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Their entire married life, they farmed in the Hartwick area. After Bob’s passing, she continued to farm alongside her son, Don.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Altar and Rosary. She enjoyed reading, cooking and baking, visiting on the phone with friends and family. She loved to attend the grandchildren’s events and spending time with the family.
