A celebration of life service for Connie K. Huedepohl, 75, Williamsburg, was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. She died Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at Colonial Manor, Amana.

Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Essence of Life Hospice, Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center or Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Amana.

Connie Kay Huedepohl was born Sept. 16, 1941, in Iowa City, the daughter of Howard N. and Eleanor (King) Schrock. She attended rural school near Windham and graduated from Williamsburg High School.

She married Dennis Huedepohl Feb. 18, 1961, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Sharon Center. For a few years, she was employed at Peterson Drug Store Williamsburg. She enjoyed teaching piano lessons and singing and playing organ for weddings and church functions. Her true passion was being a devoted mom and housewife.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where for many years she played organ, created and directed Catchfire singers (a 50-member high school choir), and later sang in the adult choir. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, antiquing, gardening and her beautiful flowers. She will be remembered for her compassion towards others, kindness, warmth and service to God and many.

Huedepohl is survived by her high school sweetheart and spouse of 55 years, Dennis, Williamsburg; four children: Jeff and Gretchen Huedepohl, Jefferson City, Mo.; Scott and Andrea Huedepohl, Waterford, Wis.; Shelly and Bryce Brecht, Watkins, and Kristin and Andrew Ward, Walford; nine grandchildren, Benjamin, Seth and Hannah Huedepohl, Aaron and Jacob Huedepohl, Kelsey and Tanner Brecht, and Nathan and Allison Ward; one great-granddaughter, Emma; six siblings, Greg and Linda Schrock, Iowa City; Linda Nelms, Littleton, Colo.; Gil and Deb Schrock, Sunland, Calif.; Randy and Jen Schrock, Floyd Knobs, Ind.; Barb and Jim Murphy, Iowa City, and Kerilee and Doug Gahring, Newnan, Ga.; sister-in-law, Dianne and Kurt Metzner, Jackson, Miss., and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
