William L. Shukers Sr., 86, of Cedar Rapids died Sunday February 14, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. Services at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories where friends may call after 10:00 AM on Thursday. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements

Survivor include two sons William (Rebecca) Jr. and Daniel (Mary) and a daughter Roberta Douglas. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Bill was born on April 30, 1929 in Cedar Rapids the son of Leon and Patricia Womochil Shukers. He married Barbara J. Ramey on June 4, 1964 in Marengo. Barbara passed away in 1999. Bill was a machinist at FMC for many years and later retiring from Universal Engineering.

Bill was an avid bowler and took great pride when he bowled a perfect game. He enjoyed watching old movies and especially the time spent with his family. Bill was a good hearted and wonderful husband, father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial fund has been established.
