Mickey Gilbert Hormann, age 51, of Marengo, Iowa, died Saturday, October 10, 2015, at the Marengo Memorial Hospital.

Memorial Services: 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2015, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, Iowa, with Doug Dauenbaugh officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Marengo American Legion #76. Friends and family may visit prior to the service, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 11 to 1 PM, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Mickey is survived by wife Corine; his mother Wilma; a son Eli (Kim Morales), Mason City; five daughters, Korissa, Mason City, Kayleigh, Mason City, Charalesa Hill, Marengo, April Wagonblast, Marengo, Melissa Peek (Julie Hawkins), Marengo; two grandchildren, Noah Hormann and Harmony Wagonblast; a brother, Allan (Darlene), Allenton, Wisconsin; three sisters, Carolann (Dennis) Davis, Des Moines, Judi (Bob) Zimmerline, Adair, and Mable Clark, Stuart; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother Roger.

Mickey was born December 1, 1963, the son of Harry and Wilma Shelley Hormann, in Perry, Iowa. He received his education at Donna High School, Donna, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mickey was united in marriage to Corine Peek, August 21, 2010 in Belle Plaine, Iowa. He worked at Artic Glacier in Des Moines and was recently employed by L.L. Pelling. Mickey enjoyed gardening, rock collecting, bird watching, taking trips with his family, and genealogy. He loved listening to classic rock and NPR radio, as well as riding his Harley. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and a member of the Tuttle Boys.
