Frankie Moennich, 68

Celebration of life service for Frankie J. Moennich, 68, Williamsburg, was held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Homestead. She died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Colonial Manor of Amana after an honorable and courageous battle with cancer.

The Rev. Terry Small officiated at the service.

Burial was in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials are for St. John’s Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.

Frankie Jo Moennich was born Oct. 30, 1946, in Russellville, Ark., the daughter of Frank and Norma (Teal) Yeager. She graduated from West Liberty High School.

She married Milferd D. Moennich Aug. 2, 1968, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Homestead. She was employed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for a number of years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and playing cards.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Moennich is survived by her husband, Milferd, Williamsburg; one son, Adam Moennich (Elicia Wintermeyer), Ladora, and two grandsons, Garrett and Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jean Harper.
