Ed Kinsinger, age 65 of Parnell, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital.

Memorial Service: 10:30 A.M. Monday, August 24, 2015, West Union Mennonite Church, Parnell with Pastor Corey Miller and Pastor Martha Yoder officiating. Inurnment will be in the West Union Mennonite Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the church. A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting with arrangements.

Ed is survived by his wife Doris; two sons, Jared Kinsinger and special friend Erin Tucker and her children, T.J. and Ashlee Ferrier, all of Wellman, and Gabe Kinsinger and fiancée Anne Vidnovic of North Liberty; a daughter Candra Nickell and husband James of Wellman; and four grandchildren Brittany and Jonathan Kinsinger, and Collin and Carly Nickell; and a nephew, John Weyrick and wife Jeannie of New London. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Linda.

Eddie Dean Kinsinger was born November 30, 1949 in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Maynard and Nora Doolin Kinsinger. He attended the country schools near Williamsburg, and graduated from the Iowa Mennonite Schools in 1968.

Ed and Doris Martinson were married June 14, 1975 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Homestead.

The couple farmed in the Parnell area for many years. He enjoyed playing cards, ice fishing, camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was quite proud of the abundant produce from his garden. He sold sweet corn in the Williamsburg Square, and served as a taxi for the Amish in the area. Ed was a member of the West Union Mennonite Church.
