DEATHS

MARIE MUMM

The daughter of Beecher and Mabel Robey Walker, Marie was born Oct. 24, 1916 in Lake Wales, Fla. She attended Hartwick School and in 1934 was graduated as valedictorian of her class.

On July 3, 1946 Marie was married to Ivan F. Mumm in Nashua. Following their marriage the couple made its home on a farm north of Ladora and remained there the rest of their lives. Marie was employed at Big G Food Store in Marengo for 20 years. She enjoyed farm life, quilting and reading.

She is survived by her children, Russell Mumm of Ladora, Rick Mumm and his wife, Vicki, of Hartwick, and Randy Mumm and his wife, Anna, of Walford; six grandchildren, Joshua and Mathew Mumm of Marengo, Alan and Stacey Mumm of Hartwick and Nathan and Kayla Mumm of Walford; one sister, June Hagen and her husband, Garry of Duarte, Calif.; one aunt, Louise Robey of Brooklyn, and many cousins and friends.

Marie died May 23 at age 77 at Marengo Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan, who died Sept. 14, 1978 and one sister, Helen Roshek.

Funeral was held May 26 at McAninch-Fremming Funeral Home, Victor, with Rev. Torger Johnson, Koszta United Methodist Church, Ladora, officiating. Organ music was provided by Verabeth Bricker who accompanied soloist Debbie Davidson. Selections were "The Old Rugged Cross," "In The Garden," and "Amazing Grace."

Pallbearers were David Albert, Bill Feller, William McKusker, Charles Cronbaugh, Carroll McKusker and Chester Pearson with interment in Koszta cemetery, Iowa county.
