Funeral services for Linda S. Kesselring, 62, Oklahoma City, Okla., were held June 26 at the Sunny Lane Methodist Church. She died June 22, 2006, in Norman, Okla.

The Rev Rick Robart officiated at the service.

Linda Sue Kesselring was born May 25, 1944, in Hot Springs, S.D., the daughter of Phillip George and Lucille Gates Schmid.

She married Gordon Kesselring Aug. 21, 1965, in Iowa City. She was active in the First Methodist Church, Altus, Okla. She volunteered for her church and sons' activities until her health prohibited her from doing so. Her family was the most important thing in her life.

We thank her for her lessons in love, courage, strength and great Christian values.

Kesselring is survived by her husband; two sons, their wives and children, Brian and Shannon, Payton, Preston and Paxton, Mildenhall, England, and Kevin and Jennifer, Cailey and Caden, Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Glendle Reeve, Liberty Lake, Wash.; two brothers and their wives, Dr. Phil and Joann Schmid, Iowa city, and Ron and Jan, Maryland; her mother-in-law, Beatrice Kesselring, Kalona; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Sara Kesselring, Ukiah, Calif., and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marcia and Don Steckly, Wellman,and many nieces and nephews.
