Celebration of life service for Glenn L. Greenlee, 86, North English, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, North English. He died Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the English Valley Care Center, North English.

The Rev. Michelle Williamson will officiate at the service.

Burial will be in the North English Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for the English Valley Care Center.

Glenn Lecil Greenlee was born Aug. 1, 1927, near North English, the son of Lecil Ray and Naoma Fern (Moore) Greenlee. He grew up in Iowa County where he attended Berry country school and later graduated from North English High School.

He married Thelma Ruth Kelley Feb. 3, 1948, in North English. They lived and farmed for 12 years in the Webster area before moving to their current farm near North English in 1960.

He enjoyed farming, sitting on his front porch and watching the traffic go by and watching television. He farmed all of his life. He became a resident of the English Valleys Care Center in May 2013.

Greenlee is survived by sons, Mark (Charline) Greenlee, North English, and Alan (Kathy) Greenlee, Marengo; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Greenlee, South English, and one sister, Naoma Houser, Keota.

He was preceded in death by his wife, December 1987, and his parents.
