Pamela Weiss-Martin, 46

Pamela J. (Pam) Weiss-Martin, 46, San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Victor, died Feb. 11, 2014, in San Antonio, surrounded by her family, following a short illness with cancer.

A funeral service was held Feb. 18 at Concordia Lutheran Church, San Antonio.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Victor.

Her body has been cremated by Heart of Texas Cremation, San Antonio, and a private inurnment will be held at a later date.

A memorial fund has been established.

Pamela J. Weiss-Martin was born Oct. 15, 1967, the daughter of Maynard and Lois (Kieswetter) Weiss. She graduated from HLV High School in 1986 and attended Hamilton Business College, Cedar Rapids.

After graduation, she worked at Amana Refrigeration, Amana, until moving to San Antonio, where she worked at Pearsons.

She married Brian Martin April 3, 1999, at Fort Sam Houston Chapel. She enjoyed cooking, roses, plants and shopping.

Weiss-Martin is survived by her husband; two daughters, Sydney and Kassidy; one sister, Beverly Paulson, Gilbert, Ariz.; one brother, Craig, Williamsburg; her parents, Maynard and Lois Weiss, Victor; a nephew, Dustin Gensley, Cedar Rapids; a niece, Emily Gensley, Brussells, Belgium; a great-nephew, Ayden Gensley, Cedar Rapids; her mother- and father-in-law, Benard and Gwen Martin, Roswell, Ga.; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
