Rita Wehner, 91
Funeral Mass for Rita M. Wehner, 91, Williamsburg, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg. She died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo.
The Rev. Joseph Roost officiated at the service.
Burial was in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Holbrook. Pall bearers were Jim Kelly, Mike Koenighain, Steve Berry, Terry Grimm, Matt Koenighain and Gary Harrison. Honorary pall bearers were Richard and Ethel Newkirk and Jack and Marilyn Johnson.
Memorials may be made to the Williamsburg Public Library Children’s Area.

Rita Mary Wehner was born Dec. 23, 1922, near Holbrook, the daughter of William and Catherine (Duffy) Kelly. She graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1941.
She married Clarence Anthony Wehner at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Holbrook. They lived and farmed near Parnell.
She worked for Holden’s, the Me Too store, Patron’s Mutual Insurance for 30 years and Peterson Drug Store for 20 years, retiring in 2009.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and going fishing. She was a former member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Holbrook, and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Parnell. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
Wehner is survived by her son, William (Marcia) Wehner, Williamsburg; two grandchildren, Tonya (Chris) Stephan, Marengo, and Todd (MaryAnn) Wehner, Williamsburg; six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Tristan, Laylah, Lorelai, Layahna and Lola.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Clement, Richard and William Kelly, and three sisters, Marion McNamara, Irene and Mary Kelly.
