Funeral service for Phylis M. Shedenhelm, 85, Cedar Rapids, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. She died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Cottage Grove Place.
The Rev. Beverly Thompson-Travis officiated at the service.
Burial was in the Marengo Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cedar Rapids Free Clinic or St. Luke’s Hospice.

Phylis Mary Shedenhelm was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George T. and Frances J. Cronbaugh Kibler. She graduated from Marengo High School in 1945.
She married Russell Shedenhelm Aug. 7, 1946. They lived on the farm south of Marengo until moving to Cedar Rapids in 1954. He died Feb. 26, 2005.
She worked in the billing department of Killians while going to business school and was secretary to several presidents of Link Belt Speeder and F.M.C. She was a past chapter regent and 50-year life member of Ashley Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed traveling and volunteering at different organizations.
Shedenhelm is survived by her twin brother, Philip Kibler, LeClaire; sister, Elizabeth Stanerson, Williamsburg; sister-in-law, Wilma Kibler, Hiawatha; six nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one brother, George Kibler, March 24, 2013.
