Dorothy Von Lienen, 75

Memorial service for Dorothy J. Von Lienen, 75, Macon, Mo., formerly of Marengo, was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. She died July 16, 2013, at the Columbia University Hospital, Columbia, Mo., following a long illness.

The Rev. Diane Townsley officiated at the service.

Inurnment was in the Marengo Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund, Macon.

Dorothy Joan Von Lienen was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Iowa City, the daughter of Claude and Loreen Blair Fuller. She grew up in Marengo and graduated from Marengo High School.

She married George Von Lienen Oct. 6, 1956, and they shared 57 wonderful years together. She had been a resident of Macon, since 2000.

Von Lienen is survived by her loving husband, George; four children, John and Barbara Von Lienen, Sykesville, Md.; Lee and Tina Von Lienen, Bennett, Co.; Petty and Norm Kaden, Columbia, Mo., and Scott and Margaret, Chesterfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister, Ella Mae Sperry, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marge McFarland, and brothers, Clough “Bub” Fuller, Marion “Jose” Fuller and Robert “Cobb” Fuller.
