Wilma Moore, 92

Funeral service for Wilma L. Moore, 92, Marengo, formerly of Estherville, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo. She died Tuedsay, June 25, 2013, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo.

The Rev. Matt German officiated at the service.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville.

A memorial fund has been established.

Wilma Louise Moore was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Estherville, the daughter of William and Goldie Thompson Hiveley. She attended school through the eighth grade.

She married Hugh M.Markley in 1940. He passed away.

She later married Claude A.Moore. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, going bowling and baking. She especially enjoyed caring for her children and her home.

Moore is survived by her sons, Jerry A. and Jennifer Markley, Spencer, and James M. Markley, Perry; two daughters, Joan and Harry Heldt, Homestead, and Joyce and Bob Harris, Waynesville, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Michael Heldt, Boulder, Colo.; Marsha Heldt, Coralville; Monica Kersten, Columbus, Ind.; Jerry Markley Jr., Ruthven; Wayne Markley, Spencer; Scott Larson, Estherville; Bobbie Harris, Waynesville, Mo., and Tonnia Markley, Des Moines, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her husbands; her parents; two brothers, William and Clive Hiveley, and five sisters, Annie Hiveley, Agnes Bunnell, Marie Clark, Leona Schubert and Jenny Hanson.
