Mass of Christian burial for Judith A. Westcott, 72, Williamsburg, was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Oxford. She died Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.

Burial was in North Scott Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in her name or to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Oxford.

Judith Ann Westcott was born March 4, 1941, in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in medical technology and worked at all three Iowa City hospitals throughout her medical career.

She married Donald Westcott Oct. 2, 1965, in Fairfax. They raised their family near Oxford, where they resided until his death in 2003. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Williamsburg.

She was a member of St. Mary’s, Oxford; the St. Mary’s Choir, the Believers Choir, the Knotty Women sewing and quilting group and always enjoyed the Tuesday morning prayer and rosary group.

She enjoyed visiting local casinos and playing cards with friends, reading and especially her time spent with her grandchildren.

Westcott is survived by her children, Scott and Angie Westcott, Williamsburg; Mike and Kimberly Westcott, Iowa City; Steve and Stacy Westcott, Holmen, Wis.; Mark and Jill Westcott, Conroy, and Angela and Jarod Carl, Ames; grandchildren, Derrick (Ami), Devin and MacKenzie Westcott, Nicholas, Hannah, Abigail and Matthew Westcott, Jack, Dylan and Carson Westcott, Connor Westcott, Wesley and Elizabeth Carl; one brother, Dave and Joanne Nemec, Fairfax, and one sister-in-law, Betty and Bill Stone, Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
