Celebration of life service for Bonnie S. Sapone, 54, Marengo, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at the American Legion Hall, Marengo. She died Friday, June 28, 2013, in her sleep at home after battling a six-year illness and bone marrow cancer.

The Rev. Eddie Thomas will officiate at the service.
Memorials

Bonnie Sue Sapone was born June 12, 1959, in Des Moines. After getting married and living in New Jersey for seven years, she moved to Marengo where she made her home. She was a dedicated wife and mother who displayed much honesty and the kindest heart possible. She and her husband, Bob, would spend hours riding the countryside by both motorcycle and car.

Sapone is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bob; two children, Michelle and Robert Jr., both Marengo; one grandchild, Addison, Marengo; one brother, Chuck, Marengo, and three sisters, Vickie, Joyce and Connie, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Pauline Haus; one sister, Jackie, and one brother, Carl Jr.
