Christine Moon, 60

Private family services for Christine A. Moon, 60, Belle Plaine, will be held at a later date. She died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at her home.

Christine Anne Moon was born July 23, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Aaron and Darlene Vaughn Hanks. She graduated from Jefferson High School, Cedar Rapids, in 1970.

She was an inspector at Amana Refrigeration for 35 years.

She married Michael Moon Sept. 29, 2000, in Marengo. She enjoyed cooking and NASCAR, especially Tony Stewart. She was a Kansas City Chiefs fan.

She especially enjoyed being called “Maga Moon” by her grandchildren and spending time with them.

Moon is survived by her husband, Michael; one daughter, Michelle McCord and Jason Hudepohl, Marengo; three grandchildren, Brayden, Averee and Kamryn Hudepohl; two brothers, Mark Hanks, Marion, and Mike Hanks, Cedar Rapids, and one sister, Terry and Dennis Primrose, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
