Graveside services for Leonard W. Lacy, 77, Marion, were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, at the North English Cemetery. He died Monday, April 18, 2006, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Memorials may be made to the family at 1170 Indian Creek Circle, Marion, Iowa 52302.

Leonard W. Lacy was born May 13, 1927, in Millersburg, the son of Alfred C. and Alta Faas Lacy. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Mildred R. Thorburn Jan. 26, 1948, in North English. He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator in the Central City area and also farmed in the Alburnett area for many years.

Lacy is survived by one son, John B. Lacy, Cedar Rapids; one daughter and her husband, Mary J. and Doug Trumbo, Marion; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two brothers and their wives, Lloyd and Neoma Lacy, Marengo, and Larry and Nancy Lacy, Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
