Memorial service for Gayle M. Snavely, 96, Williamsburg, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Ladora United Methodist Church. She died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City.
The Rev. Dorothy Banzhaf officiated at the service.
Inurnment was in the Ladora Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established.

Gayle Marie Snavely was born March 24, 1917, in Marengo, the daughter of Harvey and Florence Wright Cronbaugh. She attended Iowa County schools. In earlier years, she worked at the Lincoln Cafe in Belle Plaine. She had been a resident of Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg, for the last several years.
Snavely is survived by one daughter, Peggy and Don Hilligas, Brooklyn; a granddaughter, Renae and Tony Sellers, and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Canden and Joel Sellers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Snavely, and her parents.
