Henry Noyes, 72, died in his sleep at his home Friday, Aug, 20. He had been ill for a short time.

Funeral Services were Sunday, Aug. 22 at 2 p. m., at the McAninch chapel in Victor with the Rev. John Rosenberger of the Ladora Methodist church officiating.

Music was provided by Mrs. John Daniels. Caring for the flowers were Dr. and Mrs. Boyd Sanford and Mr. and Mrs. James Simmons.

Pallbearers were Russell Maschmann, Raymond Cronbaugh, Robert Simmons, Frank Heller, Clarence Hansen and Ernst Heller. Burial was in Koszta cemetery with military rites by the Ladora American Legion post.

Mr. Noyes was born Mar 17, 1893 in Morgon county Missouri, the son of John and Ruby [Robinson] Noyes. He migrated to Iowa in 1915 and worked as a farm hand in the Ladora and Victor vicinities.

On July 7, 1917 he joined Troop A of Iowa National Guard, serving his country through May 30, 1919. After returning to Iowa county he was married to Gladys Croft on Dec. 3, 1919. To this union two children were born.

Mr. Noyes farmed near Victor until Mar. 1946, when he and the family moved to Marengo.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Netha Meyer[Harvey] of Williamsburg, a son, Dale [Jane] of Victor, and six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister [Ethel, Mrs William Wheat].
