Rickey Dhondt, 64

Celebration of life memorial service for Rickey L. Dhondt, 64, North English, will be held at noon Saturday, March 23, at Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. He died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System, St. Cloud, Minn.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Burial will be at a later date.

A general memorial fund has been established.

Rickey Lee Dhondt was born Dec. 22, 1948, in Williamsburg, the son of Marvin James and Nedra (Claypool) Dhondt. He attended Williamsburg High School. He served in the United States Army.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, NASCAR and collecting coins and fishing reels.

Dhondt is survived by four children, Matthew Dhondt, North English; Jill Kuster, Hedrick; Jennifer Dhondt and Ryan Jennings, Gibson, and Adam Dhondt and Ann Lyons, Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, Nedra Dhondt, Parnell; one brother, Jerry and Rita Dhondt, Williamsburg; one sister, Samra Ollendick, North Liberty, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother-in-law, Joe Ollendick.
