David Cisna, 74

Memorial service for David R. Cisna, 74, Marengo, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. He died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Living Center West, Cedar Rapids.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.klosterfuneralhome.com.

David Roger Cisna was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Waterloo, the son of Roger D. and Vera C. Borchers Cisna. He graduated from West High School, Waterloo. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years. He was employed as a gas station attendant and later worked as a machine operator at a rock quarry.

He married Linda Flack Fulmer May 31, 2008, at Christ United Methodist Church, Belle Plaine. The couple lived in Marengo.

He enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye games and car races. He liked to attend Bible study group, play bingo, watch television and visiting with his family and friends. When he was young, he enjoyed swimming, waterskiing and bowling.

Cisna is survived by his wife, Linda; one daughter, Christi and Gary Ehrle, Humboldt; one son, Craig Cisna, and fiance Heather Link, Warrensburg, Mo.; two step-daughter, Cindy Becker, and fiance Dan Sholte, San Antonio, Texas, and Sherry and Kevin Wille, Marengo; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
