William F. White, 65, of Williamsburg, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a short illness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Marengo. The Rev. Andrew Gray will officiate. Iowa Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a very special friend, Joyce Cecak; three daughters, Tammy (Craig) Wise of Chelsea, Toni (Timothy) Hill of Kokomo, Ind., and Brandie (Bill) Powell of Bunker Hill, Ind.; a son, James of Iowa City; and a sister, Kathy (Denny) Ibbotson of Prairie Village, Kan. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Jessica Roby, Samantha Ray, Amanda Kiegel, Jamie Molidor, Caleb and Maddison Hicks, Randy and Jacob White, Parker Eccles, Alec Ealy, Wade Vandergriff, Zachary Vicario and Kali White; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delores and Lester Mosness and Frank G. White; a brother, James; a sister, Louise Peddycourt; and a daughter, Teresa White.

Bill was born Sept. 6, 1946, in Alpena, Mich., the son of Delores and Lester Mosness. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and worked at Big G Food Store in Marengo for several years.

Bill had a wonderful sense of humor and especially enjoyed the time spent with his beloved family and many friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial fund has been established in Bill’s name.
