Funeral services for Zelma F. Heller, 71, Lostine, Ore., will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. She died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at her home following an extended battle with cancer.

The Rev. Mike Townsley officiated at the service.
Burial was in the Koszta Cemetery, rural Marengo.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.

Zelma Fay Heller was born Dec. 29, 1940, in Acme-Delco, N.C., the daughter of Henry Clay and Beulah Elizabeth Flynn Blake. She graduated from Acme-Delco High School in 1959 and then from Ray Vogue School of Photography.

She married Franklyn D. Heller Aug. 13, 1960, in Riegelwood, N.C. The couple were blessed with two daughters, Dawn and Tonya.

In addition to being a wife and mother, she was a photographer for many years. She also worked in the contruction trade.

She spent her free time doing what she loved: hunting, gardening, quilting, woodworking and carving, photography and reading. She especially enjoyed playing with her grandchildren
She was a member of the National Woodcarvers Association.

Heller is survived by her husband, Frank; her children, Dawn Marie Stumbo, Shelley, Idaho, and Tonya Lynn Vokral, New Plymouth, Idaho.; three grandchildren, Franklyn, Tonya and Gabrielle Stumbo; her mother, Beulah Elizabeth Flynn Blake, Riegelwood, N.C.; one brother, H.C. Blake Jr. and Magdalene, Acme-Delco, N.C., and one sister Elizabeth Ann and Billy Settlemeyer, Riegelwood.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Alan Blake.
