Graveside services for Ethel M. Daugherty, 94, Marion, formerly of Marengo, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the Marengo Cemetery. She died Saturday, June 23, at Crestview Acres Nursing Home, Marion.

Ethel Mae Daugherty was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Janesville, the daughter of Luroy and Ethel Lewis.

She married George W. Daugherty Feb. 19, 1936, in Tama. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked for several years at the Watts Nursing Home, Marengo.

Daugherty is survived by two sons and their wives, Kenneth and Ella Daugherty, Marion, and George Jr. and Sandra Daugherty, Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, Angela Daugherty, Cedar Rapids; Sherry Daugherty, Houston, Texas; Patrick Daugherty, Denver, Colo., and Michael Daugherty, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1995; her parents and two sons, Robert and John.

Ethel M. Daugherty, age 94 of Marion, formerly of Marengo, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Crestview Acres Nursing Home in Marion. Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Marengo Cemetery, Marengo, Iowa. Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 on Tuesday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Daugherty and wife Ella of Marion, and George Daugherty, Jr. and wife Sandra of Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Angela Daugherty of Cedar Rapids, Sherry Daugherty of Houston, TX, Patrick Daugherty of Denver, CO and Michael Daugherty of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1995 and two sons, Robert and John a brother, Wilbur Lewis and a sister Hazel Gleason.

Ethel Mae Lewis was born January 8, 1918 in Janesville, Iowa, the daughter of Luroy and Ethel Hosier Lewis. She married George W. Daugherty on February 19, 1936 in Tama, Iowa. Ethel was a homemaker and mother. She also worked for several years at the Watts Nursing Home in Marengo.
