Funeral services for Bruce E. Hall, 76, East Dundee, Ill., formerly of Conroy; Naperville, Ill.; Lombard, Ill., and Door County, Wisconsin, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Dundee. He died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at the Pepper Family Hospice Home and Care Center, Barrington, surrounded by his family. The Rev. Phillip Baerwolf officiated at the service.

Private family burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Conroy.

Bruce E. Hall was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Conroy, the son of Clarence and Minnie (Schwarting) Hall.
He married Carolyn M. Morris Jan. 5, 1957. She died Sept. 5, 2009, after celebrating 52 years of marriage.

He was a true entrepreneur. His careers included barbering, real estate and resort management. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Dundee.

He had a great love for children and was an avid supporter and benefactor of Lutheran Day School Education.

Hall is survived by his children and their spouses, Debra and Bill Tolsma, East Grand Rapids, Mich.; Steven Hall, East Dundee, and former wife Rita, and Nancy and Wayne Swartz, Port Charlotte, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Eric, Alison, Randy, CJ, Michael, Katherine and Kaitlin, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends, especially his caregiver and good friend, Lydia Massion.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Harlan, and one sister, Shirley Cornell.
