Wanda L. Wagner, 86, Blairstown, died Sunday evening, June 10, 2012, at her home. Her body was cremated. Per her wishes, there will be no service.

Wanda Lorraine Wagner was born June 25, 1925, at Des Moines, the daughter of Charles and Martha Lund Walrod. She attended Clarkson Elementary, Warren Harding Junior High and North High School in Des Moines, graduating in 1943.

She married John H. Wagner Feb. 9, 1946, in Des Moines. In addition to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she worked as a secretary in the Coe College admissions office for 20 years. She enjoyed plants and flowers and was an avid bird enthusiast.

Wagner is survived by her sons and their wives, Jon and Sheila Wagner, Centerville, and Monte and Monica Wagner, Blairstown; one daughter, Dana Wagner, North Liberty; a special family friend, Linda Roth, North Liberty; one grandson; three granddaughters; two step-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one brother and his wife, Charles “Bud” and Lee Walrod, Des Moines, and one sister, Carolyn “Sally” Vedda, Tucson, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one granddaughter.
