Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette, 3-14-1887: Mrs. Rebecca Kramer, wife of Louis A. Kramer of Linn Grove, this county, who had been in feeble health for some months, died on Friday night last. In the evening she appeared much improved and joined heartily in the family conversation. She passed peacefully away from sleep to death and the family was ony apprised of the fact when morning came and an attempt was made to awaken her. Interment today at Mt. Zion cemetery. Deceased has resided in this county since 1838, and enjoyed a large circle of friends among the old settlers. Of the family which which she was connected there are now nearly 300 members in this county, descendants of Andrew Kramer, who came here fifty years ago.
