Cedar Rapids Gzette, January 20, 1887: J. Kramer was born in Linn County, Ia., No. 16, 1862, and died at the home of his parents near Marion, Jan. 13, 1887. He was a single young man with a bright future until that dreaded disease, consumption, took hold upon his system and has hastened him away from his youthful prospects here to his eternal home. During his lingering sickenss he found joy and peace by earnest faith and trust in God, and was baptized and renewed in the M.E. Church. The family wish to hereby express their gratitude to the many kind friends who rendered assistance and material aid during the sickness and death of their son and brother. J.M. Poland.
