Funeral services for Ed Krezek, 82, Clutier, were held Saturday, Nov. 13, at Phillips Funeral Home, Keystone. He died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, following a brief illness.

Jerry Shannon officiated at the service.

Interment was at Oneida Cemetery near Clutier.

Ed Krezek was born April 20, 1928, at Clutier, the son of Edward and Helen (Koontz) Krezek. He graduated from the Clutier High School in 1945 and served his nation in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1948.

He married Ellen Havran Jan. 24, 1951, at Belle Plaine. He farmed in the Clutier area and was a member of a polka club.

Krezek is survived by his wife; his children and their spouses, Ed and Cindy Krezek, Waterloo, and Kathy and David Larson and Sue and Daniel Sherman, all Marengo; grandchildren, Lindsey Krezek, Ryan Harrison and Nicholas Harrison, and great-grandchildren, Kelcey and Paul Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobbie.
