Funeral Mass for Jo Ann Miller, 77, Victor, was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Victor. She died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids.

The Rev. Brian Shepley officiated at the service.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Victor.

Jo Ann Miller was born July 15, 1933, in Grinnell, the daughter of John and Mildred Keefe Wentland. She was raised near Hartwick and graduated from Hartwick High School in 1951. She attended the American Institute of Business College, Des Moines.

She married Willis Miller Nov. 29, 1952, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Victor. The couple farmed near Victor and she was a homemaker. The couple was blessed with 10 children, Jane, David, Julie, Mary Jo, Michael, Jeff, Randy, Lori, Katie and Tim.

She was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, Victor. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Hawkeye fan and enjoyed tending her flowers, gardening and watching birds.

Miller is survived by her husband of 57 years, Willis Miller, Victor; her children and their spouses, Jane Rupp, Roseville, Calif.; David and Kathy Miller, Victor; Julie and Larry Grier, Guernsey; Mary Jo and John Patten, Mike Miller, Jeff Miller and Randy and Marilyn Miller, all Victor; Lori and Steve Slaymaker, Marengo; Katie and Jake Miller, Wellsboro, Penn., and Tim and Jamie Miller, Blairstown; 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Kay Herzberg, Oregon; Marcella Van Nevel, Belle Plaine, and Jeanne Van Nevel, Victor, and one brother, Mike Wentland, Hartwick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Todd Miller, and one brother, John Wentland.
