Celebration of life services for Lora D. A. Imhoff, 85, Williamsburg, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg. She died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at her home.

The Rev. Dennis Arndt officiated at the service. Organist was Peggy Wardenburg.

Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsburg. Casket bearers were Richard Wichmann, Mark Hulseburg, Ryan Gjerde, Jeremy Miner, Phillip Jones, Duane Bolger, Orlen Glandorf and Paul Keller. Honorary casket bearers were Jill Gjerde, Lauren Haby, Michelle Haby, Kathryn Imhoff and Rebecca Imhoff.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church and Lutheran Interparish School, both Williamsburg.

Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Williamsburg, was in charge of arrangements.

Lora Dorothea Amalia Imhoff was born Dec. 27, 1925, in Williamsburg, the daughter of Martin and Ida Glandorf Doehrmann. She was baptized Jan. 31, 1926, and confirmed March 17, 1940, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School.

She married Orlen Carl Imhoff Oct. 10, 1948, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg.

The couple farmed for many years and owned and operated Imhoff Wiring Service from 1968 to 1988.
She was a lifelong resident of the Williamsburg area. After her husband’s death, she moved to Highland Ridge.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, where she was a member of the choir, Women’s Guild, Altar Guild and Fellowship Club. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards and attending her grandchildren’s activities and sports.

Imhoff is survived by three children and their spouses, Cynthia and Steven DeBerg, Marengo; Ruth Haby, Lafayette,. Ind., and Mark and Gloria Imhoff, Williamsburg; one son-in-law, Gerry Gjerde, Dewitt; six grandchildren, Ryan and Jenna Gjerde, Jill Gjerde, Laura Haby, Michelle Haby, Kathryn Imhoff and Rebecca Imhoff; one brother, Harlan Doehrmann, Marion, and one sister and her husband, Elda and Ralph Keller, Williamsburg.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Judy Gjerde and Jane Imhoff; one sister, Selma Hagen, and one brother, Loren Doehrmann.
