Funeral Mass for Patrick A. Thrune, 58, Williamsburg, was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fairfax. He died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Marengo Memorial Hospital, Marengo.

There will also be a Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at the Cathedral of Sacred Heart Church, Winona, Minn.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona.

Memorials may be made to the Williamsburg Q.R.S. (Quick Responder Service) or the donor’s choice.

Patrick Arnold Thrune was born Oct. 27, 1952, in Winona, the son of Raphael and Betty Jean (Stuck) Thrune. He graduated from Cotter High School, Winona, and was currently attending Kirkwood Community College.

He had resided in Cedar Rapids, Swisher and Williamsburg since 1999. He had worked at Rockwell since 1996 and enjoyed bowling, fishing and being a hospice volunteer.

Thrune is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Soukup, Williamsburg; his parents, Raphael and Betty Thrune, Winona; two brothers and their wives, Nick and Pam Thrune, St. Paul, Minn., and Tony and Angela Thrune, Prairie du Sac, Wis.; one sister and her husband, Ann and Perry Christensen, Owatonna, Minn., and numerous nieces and nephews.
