Annie Lelia Gorsch, youngest daughter of Edward and Kate Grimm was born in Dayton twp, June 29, 1904, and departed this life at the hospital at Oakdale, Sept 20, 1930 aged 26 years, 3 months, and 1 day. July 30, 1922, she united in marriage to Fred Gorsch. To this union were born three children, Dwight, the youngest preceded his mother in death at the age of six months. When a small girl she united with the M E Church at Hope Chapel and continued true to her church till the last. She was a patient sufferer having been confined to her bed fourteen months with the dreaded disaease, tuberculosis. She was in the hospital at Oskaloosa, then at Oakdale where she passed away. She leaves her husband Fred Gorsch, two sons, Edward aged 7 and Lawrence aged 3, her father and mother, Mr and Mrs Grimm, her grandmother Mrs. Ike Grimm, three sisters, Mrs Minnie Gorsch, Mrs. Effie McGuire, and Mrs Gail Tripses, two brothers Forrest and Eddie Grimm and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Community Church, conducted by Rev Leeds of Gibson. She was then laid beside her babe to await the resurrection morn.
