Dan Goodman Laid To Rest in Pilot Grove

Passes Away on Farm of His Birthplace after Six Month’s Illness

Funeral services were held in the Jones Funeral home for Daniel Goodman Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, March 2, Rev. George E. Smith, pastor of the Pilot Grove Methodist Church was the officiating clergyman.

His death took place on the farm where he was born November 7, 1869. He was the son of Henry and Catherine Goodman. This farm in Pilot Township was his home all his life. His membership in the Pilot Grove church dated from his early youth.

He had been in poor health for six months and death came to him Tuesday, February 28 at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 21 days.

His marriage to Lena Klever transpired July 25, 1894. To this union were born two sons and the daughter. They and the mother survive the deceased.

The sons are Ivan Goodman of Kingman, Arizona and Orville Goodman of Williamsburg. The daughter is Mrs. Merlin Stahl of Williamsburg. Interment was in Pilot Grove Cemetery.
