Mrs. Michael Kelly, Sr.

Devoted Wife and Mother Answers Final Summons.

The death of Mrs. Michael Kelly, Sr., occasions wide spread sorrow.
Mrs. Michael Kelly, Sr., a life long resident of Iowa county, died Sunday at 1:30 a.m. after a week's illness. In the death of Mrs. Kelly an exemplary wife and mother was called to her eternal reward. For the past 38 years she has resided in her home, deeply loved and revered by the community in which she lived. The loss of one of its devoted and loyal members.
Mrs. Kelly was a woman of many strong traits of character, one who in the sacred duties of home found life's greatest happiness. Her maiden name was Claressie E. Murrin, she was born in Iowa county, August 13, 1863 and was united in marriage to Michael Kelly, Oct. 18, 1882. The deceased is survived by her husband, Michael Kelly, three sons, John and Michael of Iowa county and Laughlin Kelly of Hanson, Idaho, and three daughters, Mrs. C. H. McDonald, Mrs. Wm. O'Rourike (sic) and Miss Ethel Kelly, all of Iowa county; three sisters and two brothers.
The funeral took place Tuesday morning from the family residence to St. Bernerd's church, Millersburg, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Regan, celebrant of a Requiem High mass, and an appropriate hymn was sung by the Parnell choir. The church was crowded with many friends of the family. The interment was in St. Bernerd's cemetery. Father Regan officiating at the grave. The pall bearers were: Frank Owen, James Rush, John O'Rourke, Joe Smart and T. E. Bell.
