OBITUARY
Mary Elena McGuire

Once more our community is stricken with sorrow over the loss of one of its _?__young daughters. This time the death angel came and took Mary Ellena McGuire, the oldest daughter of Charlie and Lizzie McGuire. She died after a brief illness of scarlet fever at her home near Millersburg, Sept, 5th 1907. Age 14 years, 7 months and 7 days. No one in this community had more friends among their acquaintances than Lena. She always had a smile and a kind word for every one and a willing hand to lend wherever it was needed. She leaves a father, mother, three brothers, three sisters and a host of friends to mourn their loss. We deeply sympathize with the bereaved ones in the loss of their loved one.

The remains were taken to the Catholic [Armah] cemetery Friday, Sept. 6th 1907 to await the resurrection morning.
