Dorothy C. DeGood, age 82, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo.

Funeral Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Middle Amana Community Church, Middle with Elder Jon Childers officiating.

Visitation: 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Middle Amana Community Church in Middle. Interment will be in the Amana Cemetery, Amana.

A memorial fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by a son, Dennis (Rose) DeGood of Amana and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cletus is 1999; two sisters: Louise Haldy and Elsie Baumgartner;
and a brother, Frank Rohrbacher, Jr.

Dorothy Caroline Rohrbacher was born January 20, 1928 in Amana, IA the daughter of Frank and Jennie Fry Rohrbacher. She attended the Amana Schools.

Dorothy married Cletus DeGood in Iowa City on April 10, 1948. The couple bred German Shepherds for many years early in their marriage.

She was employed by the Amana Woolen Mills as an inspector for many years. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, collecting figurines,
taking care of stray cats, and loved music, especially playing the organ. She also was an avid rock hound.
