Final Rites for Fred Klever Are Held On Tuesday

Williamsburg: Funeral services were Apr. 21, for Fred Klever, 87, who died suddenly in the Yearian Nursing Home, following a heart attack, Apr. 17, at 7 pm.

Services were in the Jones funeral home with the Rev. John A. Robinson officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Robert Menary and Mrs. Brad Furman, with Viola Dubisher at the piano.

Casket carriers were Arnold Walter, Merlin Stahl, Jack Starks, Truman Lortz, Ralph Lortz and W.A. Poulson. Interment was in Pilot Grove cemetery.

The son of Detlef and Maria Vohs Klever, Mr. Klever was born May 20, 1876 in Pilot Township. He attended the Pilot Grove rural school. On Feb. 17, 1903, he and Anna Slager were married. Mrs. Klever died Oct. 12, 1962.

Mr. Klever farmed until 1945, when they moved to town. Due to ill health, in 1962 Mr. and Mrs. Klever entered the Yearian Nursing home. He was a member of the Pilot Grove Methodist church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Christine Klever [UNABLE TO READ]
